In my experience, here’s what it’s like working with Mike Ward. You brief him, he brings you a bunch of smart ideas and is thoughtful and funny and lovely. You review those ideas and pick a few favorites and say some scattered and deeply unthoughtful things. He says “I get it” and someone schedules another review for like six hours later. Six hours later Mike makes sense of what you inarticulately asked for and even adds a few new things you didn’t ask for and continues to be thoughtful and funny and lovely.
